Ciabatta Sandwich with Gherkin Confit, Ham and Cheese


  • Ciabatta bread (4 portions)
  • Bornibus Gherkin confit
  • Ham slices (200g)
  • Cheese (Gouda, Emmental, or your choice, sliced)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomatoes (1, sliced)
  • Mayonnaise (optional)
  • Mustard (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)


  • Preparing the ingredients: 
    • Cut the ciabatta into individual portions if you haven’t already done so.
    • Prepare the slices of ham, cheese, lettuce leaves and tomato slices.
  • Sandwich assembly: 
    • On half of each ciabatta portion, spread a generous layer of your Bornibus Gherkin confit.
  • Adding the Ingredients: 
    • Add slices of ham, cheese, lettuce leaves, and tomato slices.
  • Seasoning: 
    • If desired, add a touch of our mayonnaise and/or mustard.
    • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Closing the Sandwich: 
    • Close each sandwich with the other half of the ciabatta.
  • Serving: 
    • Serve ciabatta sandwiches with Bornibus Gherkin confit and ham with chips, fries or salad.

These sandwiches offer a tasty variation with the salty taste of ham combined with the tangy flavor of Bornibus Gherkin confit and the richness of cheese, all wrapped up in the soft texture of ciabatta.
