Maison Bornibus has sourced Espelette pepper (or Ezpeletako biperra in Basque) from the heart of the French Basque Country to enhance its new mustard recipe, which is sure to surprise you! What makes Espelette pepper unique is its distinct aroma, fruity and slightly smoky. This is achieved through a traditional drying process that lasts several weeks. Traditionally used in Basque cuisine as a key seasoning in many regional dishes, Espelette pepper has become one of the symbols of French craftsmanship internationally. Since 2000, it has been protected by a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), ensuring its authenticity and quality.
